Looking for an active, outdoor summer job with a great team? We’re now hiring for the 2026 season at Sheffield Cable Waterski.

Our roles include: Lifeguard/ Trainee Lifeguard, Waterfront Assistant, Café Assistant, Bar Staff, Cable Operator, Activity Check-In Staff.
Trainee Lifeguard.
We are looking for customer-focused, adaptable team members able to use their lifeguard training (provided) in order to work within a friendly team to enable the safe operation of the park.
RLSS open water lifeguard training will be provided. Good swimming ability is essential in order to meet the prerequisites of the RLSS Open Water Lifeguard qualification (Click the link to view the requirements). Team work is extremely important for this role.
Min age 16 years.
Seasonal to September. You will need to be available initially for a minimum of one weekend day per week early season plus bank holidays and able to work during school holidays (3-5 days approx. on a rota basis).
Start dates (tbc) : 7th April, 25th May, 29th June (limited).
Waterfront Assistant.
We are looking for friendly, adaptable, team members required to assist with general waterfront related duties.
This role will involve supporting the lifeguarding and check-in teams on a day to day basis.
No previous experience is required as full training will be given, however this role will involve some interaction with customers and so good interpersonal skills are essential. A practical nature and an interest in outdoor activities would be an advantage. Being able to swim is important for this role as it involves working around open water.
Min age 16 years.
Seasonal April - September. Flexible Rota basis to include a minimum of 1 weekend day, bank holiday and school holiday working required.
Café Team.
We are looking for friendly and efficient café assistants to serve and prepare hot and cold food and drinks at our café counter along with cleaning duties. Full training will be given.
Min age 16 years.
Rota Basis | March - October (Seasonal) | Weekend and Bank Holiday working plus school holidays | Full and part-time hours available.
We are also now recruiting for CAFE TEAM LEADERS (18+).
Cafe/ Bar Staff.
We are looking for customer-focused café and bar assistants to work in our fast-paced catering environment on on a flexible rota basis as required, for our 2026 season.
Duties will include preparation, serving and cleaning to hygienic standards.
Full training will be given for both roles
Weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and school holidays required
Minimum age 18 years.
Seasonal Rota Basis | March - October | Weekend and Bank Holiday working required plus school holidays | Full and part-time hours available.
Activity Check-In Staff.
We are looking for friendly and efficient team members with a passion for outdoor pursuits to work on our activity check-in area. This is a fast-paced customer facing role where you will be greeting customers, checking them in on our booking system, issuing hire equipment and assisting with equipment organisation and cleaning. This role will require both indoor and outdoor working.
Full training will be given.
Minimum age 17 years.
Seasonal April - September. Rota basis, Weekend, Bank Holiday, School Holiday working required.
Early and late season this role will be weekend days and bank holidays only. During the school summer holidays this will be on a rota basis 3/4/5 days per week.
Cable Operator.
We are looking for cable operators and trainee cable operators to operate our full-size cable system and instruct participants in accordance with British Waterski and Wakeboard guidelines.
You will need to be able to wakeboard to a good standard yourself for this role as you will be required to train to be able to instruct participants. Training will be provided for the BWSW Cable Operator qualification.
Min age 17 years.

We're located in Rother Valley Country Park, South Yorkshire at the south side of the main lake. For directions on how to find us please visit our location page.

We are a seasonal business and so most of our positions are seasonal.
We do have a handful of full-time staff and we do advertise for these roles as and when they are available.

The start and end of our season can vary year to year but generally it is April to late September for the Aqua Park and usually late October for the cable wake park.

We do need more staff during our peak season months of July and August so not all of our team will work the whole season.
